Just figured I would take this time to tell you about the upcoming project we have going on here at DCWS. Basically it's an entirely new design. It will rid the site of the heftiness and turn it into a slim page. Basically less images loading, less data. This should drastically increase page load times. Not to mention the new site will be entirely based on the new 5-source system, and will include some cool features. It will also be entirely coded by me, meaning that if I want to add something to it I don't have to pick through the code first, I will know where everything is at. We won't, at this time. Be removing the chatango chat. However I have noticed more and more spam and people who don't seem to care about the site posting their nonsense. Because of that I am working on a replacement, one that if we ban you from the chat you get banned from the entire site.
We're working on a way to decrease the video size even more without losing the quality. But from where we stand it seems like we're at a stopping point. HQ looks exactly like the original AVI and is only 62mb, MQ is in a really nice quality and is only 38mb, and LQ while it wouldn't be too great to watch in full screen, it is capable on a 1280x1024 screen size and it is at a low of 19mb. Meaning you could watch LQ on a really low bandwidth connection. Now, we've had a guy recently threaten to hack the site, and talked about how this site is a scam. I have to ask, how can it be a scam when we don't sell a product? You're not required to donate, you're not required to pay to watch, all we ask is that you view a few advertisements. So what is the big deal?
